I was starting to Edit my C.V when I came across a bit of a issue... I have two C.V's, one for my casting work and one for my performing... I want to make the transition into casting permanatly but most of my experience is in performing... Shall I combine them to make one C.V with just the best bits?
Comments please......
Thanks Guys
Hi Nina,
ReplyDeleteIm in the same situation as you and it took me a while to do this task.
I have combined my professional dance CV and work CV together.
I found that even though they are in different areas of the work field you still have to apply yourself in any given work place.
Please check out my CV maybe you might have some suggestions for me if so please fire away! good luck
Hi Nina
ReplyDeleteI would combine the two. a CV shows your education and work history. In a couple of sentances, a little personal profile at the top of the page, highlight your intention/strength/direction towards casting. Best wishes.

Hi Nina,
ReplyDeleteI would combine the two to a certain extent, for example if you are mainly looking at doing the casting work it doesn't really matter what you have dome it matters more about what you have got for other people. But then I would add something in there just so people know that you are a professional and that you have worked in the industry. I say this because when I research a casting director I don't have a look at work they have done I look at work they have got previous clients. I hope this helps.
Nina, what did you decide in the end?
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your advice, I have decided to combine all relevent experience into one CV as it is just that... relevant! My performing experience will surely help me in casting as it shows that I have worked in a performing enviroment.
